Summer Evening Around Wine and anticipation. That’s how we begin our article, because we’re delighted to announce our tenth edition. Yet behind this joy lies meticulous organisation.

First, we need to manage the guest list. Next, we have to confirm all the registrations. Then, it’s important to plan the menu. So, we make sure to offer vegetarian options to suit all guests – and pay attention to the children too.

Before anything else, we also need to make sure all the declarations and paperwork are properly completed… oh, the paperwork! 🙂

Also, it’s vital to arrange some musical entertainment. So, we contact the musicians well in advance. Then, we work out the number of bars to set up in the courtyard of the estate. Next, we allocate roles: who will serve the wine, who will welcome our guests, who will look after the parking.

Moreover, we never forget the details. First, we draft in the younger members of the family to help us out. Then, we brief them on the tasks they’ll need to do. After that, we tidy up around the cellar. Finally, we move all the stock to free up space.

Summer Evening Around Wine: Organisation Down to a Fine Art

Next, we need to sort out the furniture. So, we prepare bales of straw. It’s important to plan the groups so that you can settle in comfortably with your friends… and also arrange some proper seating for those who’d struggle to sit on lower seats. Then, we set up a large area so guests can park easily. Afterwards, we lay the tables. That way, we can see who’ll go and pick wildflowers to decorate them.

In addition, we plan all the supplies. So, we decide who’ll pick up the ice, who’ll go for the fresh bread, who’ll take care of the fruit. Then, we coordinate the deliveries so that everything’s ready on the day.

Also, we don’t forget the glasses! That way, we order enough so everyone can enjoy their wine in the best conditions. Finally, we plan a few surprises to reveal on the night itself.

And we’re thrilled to have received our new polo shirts in the estate’s colours. That way, every member of our team will be easily recognisable during the evening. So, it’ll be much easier to help our visitors.

Summer Evening Around Wine means passion and sharing. And yet, before the big night, there’s a lot of organisation to take care of. But this behind-the-scenes work is part of the fun. So, on the 4th of July, we’ll be able to enjoy a warm and friendly atmosphere together with our guests.
